Falcon Enamelware

• • •

It's so hard nowadays with all the clutter to find a company that does only one thing and does it really well. This is the case with Falcon Enamelware. All their products are simple and beautifully crafted and they've been around since the 1920's so they know what they're doing.

I saw their stuff for the first time this Christmas while walking around East London and thanks to another blogger's suggestion we visited Labour and Wait, who carry their stuff along with one of the most beautifully curated collection of things I've ever seen in a shop. All houseware, all basics, all lovely.

Stay tuned for photos from this Christmas' trip to the United Kingdom, I sneaked in some at Labour and Wait.

Moody Cielos

• • •

With Chicago getting colder and colder I can't help but being drawn to cozy and chunky things, specifically comfy ones you can lie on. West Elm has a beautiful roundup of cushions and pillows inspired by moody skies this Winter season that would be amazing for a reading nook by a window and a fireplace.

2. The aptly named Cozy Pillow in Regal Blue
3. Sweater Knit in Ivory
4. Scalloped Felt Pillow in Ivory
5. Scalloped Felt Pillow in Feather Grey
6. Chevron Crewel Pillow in Platinum
7. Cozy Pillow in Ivory
8. Batik Ombre Pillow
9. Sculpted Origami Pillow in Heather Grey

Interesting Enough

• • •

So, I have started a blog of my very own! I think my life, mostly the people (and puppies) in it, is interesting enough to tell the whole world or myself about it.

I'm also constantly overwhelmed by how much beauty and inspiration lies around us and would love to be part of the sharing that goes online of all these things. So, for my very first post, here are some things I may talk about in the near future:
  1. Being recently engaged, very much in love and in the process of planning a wedding.
  2. Being a designer, its ups, its downs and its all arounds.
  3. FOOD, I love looking at it, eating it, talking about it and taking photos of it. I think about
it while im making it and after consuming it, too. It just never stops.
  4. Traveling, if it was a job and I got to bring the guy and dog that make me so happy,
I'd sign up for it in a heartbeat. Thankfully though, I can most of the time travel
    with both of them.
  5. All around inspiration, from beautiful type and flowers to fashion and photography.
  6. I'll share a lot of my own photography. I'm by no means a professional photographer
but I love doing it for fun.
  7. Friends and family, I'm so lucky to be surrounded by some of the most beautiful
and talented people I know, so get ready to fall in love with them too.
  8. Lastly, my dog. Maya, she's the cutest but least photogenic dog I've known and I love talking about her, almost as much as food.

Nuevo Year! Nuevo Blog!

• • •

I've been meaning to start a blog in forever, just somewhere I can share all things beautiful, pretty and inspiring, so I thought a new year would be a great way to kick-start something small and see how it grows, see where it goes.
